Raleigh joins the Google Fiber hut club

joined the ‘fiber hut’ club this week, approving a lease agreement for the infrastructure structures required for high-speed service fiber.

“We won’t know how many huts until the network is designed,” she says. The dollar figure incorporates both the structure itself and the fencing required.

The lease agreement also specifies that Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) isn’t the only company that could benefit. The same deal will be offered to any company looking to bring high-speed internet to the City of Oaks.
