Vermont Telecommunications Authority projects in seven counties are complete

The telecommunications Authority () announces completion of seven projects around the state. Grants to Service Providers have created new access to Internet service within previously unserved areas of twelve towns. In addition, two optic infrastructure projects built and managed by the VTA are now available for use by both broadband and cellular telecommunications companies. These projects represent significant progress in adding direct Internet service capacity as well as open-access fiber infrastructure that supports other telecommunications expansion in rural areas.
